Care & Maintenance – Digital Pianos
Your Dench Digital Pianos are skillfully built and will inherently last a lifetime! Material & component wear and tear are very marginal as we always strive to achieve superlative quality of these aspects. But a simple and regular ‘Care & Maintenance’ routine will set your instruments lasting for several decades without a hitch. Kindly familiarize the following Do’s & Don’ts!
- Always check your local electrical power supply specifications before connecting your digital piano. Read the owner’s manual for critical information!
- Always make sure that your power socket is in good condition and meets the power rating requirements of your instrument.
- Never overload the electrical outlets. Don’t plug-in your digital pianos together with your desktop computer or other electrical devices to the same socket.
- Never place your digital piano exposed to direct sunlight, moisture, or gases.
- Avoid areas with heavy foot traffic.
- Always keeps digital pianos away from electric/electronic gadgets that emit heat. Place them at a minimum of 15 feet away from any heat sources.
- Never use water or wet clothes on a digital piano. Only use a dry soft cloth.
- Rinse your hands and wipe dry before playing the piano.
- Keep all the power cords and cables out of the way.
- Never unplug or turn off your outlet power switch while the digital piano is in use. Be sure to turn the piano off first before removing the power supply.
- Never stack things on your digital pianos as the weight can affect the sound and make scratches on the finish.
- Never keep any liquids on your digital piano. A small spill can possibly cause heavy circuit damage or even trigger a fire!
- Don’t let anyone lean or sit on your digital piano as it will cause the legs to fail and possibly tilt over.
- Always keep your digital piano covered as dust can cause sensitive parts inside the digital piano to short-circuits and result in faulty sensors.
- Keep your pets away from your digital piano. Apart from cosmetic damage, fur & hair can damage the sensors or other components and cause malfunctions.
- Remember to turn off digital pianos when not in use.
